Founded in 1952, our institute is a professional design and research one directly controlled by China Radio Film and TV Group. Cared and led by both State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and Radio, Film and TV Group, our work have been developing rapidly.

There currently are 300 employees in the institute, among which there are over 200 personnel with professional titles, including nearly 100 senior engineers, 6 State-level Designers and scores of registered engineers of many fields.

With the complete professional facilities, we set over 20 specialties such as architecture structure (including architecture, structure, tower and mast structure), equipment (including heating and ventilating, water supply and sewerage), electricity (including heavy and light electricity, special lightning), radio and TV transfer and core techniques (including network, program transfer and core techniques), digit research and development, acoustics (architecture acoustics and electro-acoustics),covering technology for radio and TV (including antenna and transmitter), project economy and construction survey. We hold qualifications in many fields, such as Grade A Design Qualification for Radio, Film and TV Industry, Grade A Engineering Qualification for Multi-industries, Grade A Survey Qualification, Grade A Qualification for Engineering Consultation, Grade A Qualification for Project Cost Consultation, Grade A Design Qualification for Intelligent Building, Grade A Qualification for General Contract and Engineering Supervision, and the qualification for design, consultation and general contract of foreign projects. We have been a highly professional design team with high level technology and abilities.

In the past 50 years, we have completed more than 2000 radio, film and TV and civil projects throughout China and in Asian and African countries. Among the projects, there are the largest short-wave transmitting center, satellite ground station, inspection center and inspection station of the state, more than 30 middle and large sized TV and FM transmitting stations throughout the country, and a multifunctional reinforced concrete TV tower (locating in Wuhan City) firstly designed by China, which is the first example of reinforced concrete TV tower in China. We have also completed lots of broadcast, TV, transmitting and rebroadcasting stations for Vietnam, Korea, Mongolia, Cambodia, Zambia, Tanzania, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Central Africa, Somali, Zanzibar, Nepal and Guinea, as well as sound-reinforcement, simultaneous interpretation, impromptu speech, closed-circuit television systems inside the meeting buildings, international meeting buildings and stadiums for Sri Lanka, Egypt, Pakistan, Congo, Sudan, Syria, Nepal, Mauritius, Benin, Burma, Yemen, Democratic Republic of Congo, Niger, Djibouti and Cape Verde. These projects contribute much to the friendship between us and the people all over the world.

During the digitized, cyberization and intellectualized design, research and development work, we have completed more than 10 radio and TV towers of state and provincial levels including Central TV Tower, Tianjin TV Tower, and over 40 radio and TV centers of state and provincial levels including China Radio International, Operational Building of China National Radio, China Central Television Station, Tianjin Radio and TV News Center, Radio and TV Center of Hei Longjiang Province and Radio and TV Center of Shandong Province, as well as cable radio and TV main transfer network of state and provincial level and much cable television network.

In addition, the Institute has completed over 70 architecture acoustics and electro-acoustics public systems, 400 individual projects in terms of antenna and steel tower masts and over 300 non-Institute projects in terms of audio Museum, teaching buildings and theaters construction projects such as those of the Great Hall of the People, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Tiananmen Square, Capital Stadium, Beijing Workers stadiums, Capital International Airport, China's CPPCC Auditorium, the Central Party School Auditorium, Central Television University Studio House, Jingxi Hotel hall, the conference room of the Supreme People's Court and Beijing International Conference Center in Asian Games Village.

Most of these projects have been completed and put into use and achieved good social and economic benefits. Praises are widely received. Many of these projects received Gold, Silver and Bronze Prizes of national outstanding engineering design and first and second prizes of ministry outstanding engineering design. A number of research projects and standard making of ours won national and ministry prizes for science and technology advancement. Our technologies in antenna, acoustics and tower structure have maintained a leading position in China.

We actively organized researches for developing scientific and technological and national and industrial standards. Entrusted by State Administration of Radio, Film and Television of China in 1999, we, through establishing ¡°Construction Standard and Quota Administration Center of Radio, Film and TV Projects¡± represent the Administration to manage standard and quota of the radio, film and TV industry.

By the end of 1999, we obtained certificate of GB/T19001-ISO9001£º1994 Service Quality Assurance Mode For Quality System Design, Development, Production, Installation. In 2002, we obtained certificate of GB£¯T19001-2000 Quality Supervision System Requirement.

We will adhere to the spirit of "strict, innovative, united and dedicated," and actively contribute to the course of film and television industry.

Articles of Association

1. China Radio, Film and TV Design Institute (the Institute) is a Class A institute controlled by State Administration of Radio, Film and Television of China, and is an research institute of China¡¯s Broadcasting and film and TV system. Its main task is providing technical service for infrastructure, technological innovation, new technology development of our radio and television system, foreign economic aid and international technology exchange of television broadcasting.

2. The Institute is an independent, self-financing enterprise owned by the whole people and has independent legal person status.

3. The Institute mainly undertakes civil construction engineering design, consulting, technical services for foreign and domestic radio, film and television projects, and development, research and processing for specialized equipments of radio, film and television.

4. Project General Contract for radio, film and television system.

5. The Institute is fee-based and all take the form of contract.

6. The Institute consists of institute leaders, departments and production workshop and offices.

7. The Institute adopts a president system, which is the legal representative of the Institute.

8. The president is appointed or removed by former State Administration of Radio, Film and Television

9. Upon approval of State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the Institute adopts Tech-economic Contracting Responsibility System as of the 4th season of 1983. Financial management system and income distribution are in line with relevant provisions of 1983 [1983] No.1022 and 1986 [1986] No.2562 released by State Development Planning Commission, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Work and Personnel.
